Quay Crane
Quay Crane is one of a crane is used to discharge or load the containers to / from a container carrying vessel. The Quay crane is mounted on railing track, moves here and there according to the work to be done. The technical term for the moving of crane, one place to another is known as Gantry. The quay crane is otherwise called as RMG. It means Rail Mounted Gantry. The Structutral part of a quay crane is the Boom, the Trolley, etc. Using trolley, an operator of a quay crane can move towards the entire bay of a vessel to its back reach area.
