The new coming vessels are very length in size, for example, total length of a vessel ranges to 335 Metres from its Bow to Stern. This type of vessels can carry above 8000 TEUs. The total tiers will be 7 or 8 . The Planner of these vessels plan many times unfavourable mainly to the Stevedores. Yes. Many Vessels like Hapag-Llyod, carry flat rack containers to a maximum level of 8 tiers. The planners must consider the safety of the stevedores. These vessels use semi - auto twistlocks, using which one cannot unlock the containers easily.
